Christian Mission English Medium School, Malappuram, observed the death anniversary of renowned Malayalam poet Changampuzha Krishna Pillai with a special literary programme aimed at inspiring students to appreciate Malayalam literature and creative writing.
As part of the commemoration, Class V students prepared a handwritten literary magazine featuring their own poems, short writings, and creative compositions inspired by the life and literary contributions of the celebrated poet. The students also designed attractive cover pages for the magazine, showcasing their artistic talents alongside their literary skills.
The initiative was organized under the guidance of Class Teacher Ms. Vidhya, whose encouragement and dedicated efforts motivated the students to explore their creativity and develop a deeper appreciation for Malayalam language and literature.
The handwritten magazine was formally released during the school assembly in the presence of students and teachers. The occasion provided young writers and artists with an opportunity to present their work before the school community and celebrate the enduring legacy of Changampuzha Krishna Pillai.
School authorities stated that such literary activities play a significant role in preserving Kerala's rich literary heritage while nurturing creativity, imagination, and a love for reading and writing among students. The programme concluded with appreciation for the students' efforts and a renewed commitment to promoting literary and cultural values through meaningful educational initiatives.
